Discovery and Design
The challenges faced by small to medium-sized construction businesses highlighted the need for a more tailored solution.
Many relied on manual tools like spreadsheets and fragmented communication, leading to inefficiencies, delays, and a lack of real-time visibility. This realization sparked the creation of ProjectFlow.
It began with an in-depth discovery process to understand the unique business needs and challenges of the construction industry.
With insights gathered, the team worked to integrate project management, financial tracking, and collaboration tools into a streamlined, user-friendly platform.
Throughout each sprint, SWR Tech continues to introduce new design improvements, refining the user experience and boosting user engagement with each iteration.
This ongoing design effort ensures that ProjectFlow remains aligned with industry needs and delivers maximum value to its users.
Design Interface
The team focused on creating a visually appealing and user-friendly design for ProjectFlow. Gold was chosen as the primary color to represent wealth, success, and accomplishment, while complementary tones were used to maintain balance and elegance. Black accents were incorporated to provide contrast, and ample white space was utilized to create a clean, modern interface that enhances readability and draws attention to key features.
The overall design evokes a sense of luxury and prestige, while ensuring accessibility and ease of use across all devices.

Product Features and Development
The design and development process was structured into one-week sprints throughout the entire project.
With a lean and agile methodology, the team successfully delivered the MVP within 6 months. Since then, the team has been continuously refining the platform based on user feedback. Ongoing improvements ensure ProjectFlow remains aligned with user needs and industry demands.
By combining the strengths of both teams—expertise in construction, technology, and project management—ProjectFlow offers a tailored platform designed specifically for the construction industry. Users can now manage projects, track finances, and collaborate in real-time, enhancing efficiency and reducing delays.
This custom solution empowers construction professionals to streamline their operations and optimize their resources.

Challenges
One of the challenges ProjectFlow encountered was based on feedback from a construction firm. They struggled with recording both incoming and outgoing financials within their agency's overall budget. The firm preferred a financial system that not only managed project-specific finances but also monitored general finances outside of projects.
Additionally, they preferred that under financials, there be a way to create a journal entry for easy access to past financial records.
To address this, the ProjectFlow team introduced the Financial Feature and the General Finances (GF) Dashboard.
The Financial Feature included an accounting system that allowed agencies to create journal entries and manage accounts, whether connected to a project or not. This ensures that both project-specific and general finances are tracked effectively, with dedicated availability while remaining part of the overall system.

Future Steps
The next step for ProjectFlow could involve adding advanced reporting tools to the GF Dashboard. These tools would offer users deeper insights through customizable reports, enabling agencies to analyze financial trends and make more informed decisions with greater accuracy and efficiency.
